Daruru's presentation, on October 20 at 4:55 p.m. in Walnut A/B, describes how the Pervasive-UT team applied the Pervasive DataRush dataflow computational model to score "propensity-to-churn" at the rate of 50,000 customers in the 1.6GB test set from the 2009 KDDcup in three minutes on commodity 16-core CPUs. The effective scoring runtime of 3.6 milliseconds per customer, scoring churn, appetency and up-selling variables, was orders of magnitude faster than other teams' technologies.
