Subject: Open PhD positions in Graph mining, network analysis, process mining at Univ. College Ghent, Belgium

This reasearch builds further upon previous reasearch on AntMiner+, as well as research on the AGNES process mining algorithm. For more information on this research, see: http://www.econ.kuleuven.be/public/ndbaf65/

  • Network analysis of the financial system This research aims at obtaining a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms in the financial system in case of crisis, by modeling the financial system as a network and using network theory and simulations.
  • Exception detection and process mining This research is based on the use of process mining algorithms to mine processes from event logs. The topic concerns developing and applying techniques specifically aimed at exception detection.
For more information on our previous research on this topic, see: http://www.jmlr.org/papers/volume10/goedertier09a/goedertier09a.pdf
