Job Description:

Responsibilities:              Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Summarize & synthesize complex customer behavior into business applications
  • Manage the development and creation of unique data structures to address complex longitudinal behavioral hypotheses
  • Analyze customer behavior questions without a predetermined method of inquiry
  • Scope projects given a research question/behavioral hypothesis
  • Manage complex database research projects, simulations and advanced data mining on large transactional databases
  • Provide longitudinal behavioral analyses across product categories, purchase channel and marketing efforts
  • Recommend strategies, tactics, and future testing based on analyses
  • Work with internal business clients to clearly diagnose business issues
  • Ensure that data integrity supports the analyses and recommendations being proposed
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables meet client expectations
  • Balance the business need with appropriate level of analytical rigor
  • Prepare special reports and/or analyses as needed

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience using SAS for longitudinal behavior research in a direct to consumer/retail environment
  • Advanced technical skills and project management experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of SAS programming language (SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, looping, longitudinal simulations) with application toward retail behavioral analysis
  • Must be able to make statistical and financial inferences
  • Strong marketing skills, interpretative capabilities and analytical curiosity
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large complex projects
  • Well-defined problem identification/solution skills related to business applications and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to leverage traditional direct to consumer/retail KPIs and develop new metrics to measure and monitor changes in customer behavior
  • BS/BA Degree
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in a catalog or direct marketing business a plus
  • Work experience in a consulting or other service industry environment a plus
