Summary:
The Digitas Strategy & Enablement Group is responsible for driving analytic insights and strategic thinking across all the Digitas client engagements. We are looking for people that possess world class consulting skills and deep marketing analytic experience to serve as a trusted advisor to one of our blue chip clients. This position requires 8-10+ years experience in leading efforts to analyze marketing campaigns across multiple channels. As a Vice President/Associate Director, you will work at the direction of a senior leader and be responsible for assigned staff.

Detailed Description:

  • Drives the design and development of online (web) program and predictive analytics solutions - leads clients in defining program analytics strategy, vision, and infrastructure needs to support business objectives and drive client decision making
    • Leads the development of clients' digital media and web strategies and reporting of key business metrics to multiple audiences (marketing, operations, media, etc) including client senior management
    • Manages the design and generation of reporting frameworks that provide insight as to the performance of clients' website and/or drive to site interactive marketing programs
    • Deep functional expertise in database marketing, integrated channel marketing (including online based channels such as websites, banners, email and search), analytical tools, techniques, and other infrastructure requirements
  • Strong technical project management experience for the development of efficient operational program analytics solutions
    • Establishes measurement infrastructure for data integration, analysis, reporting and optimization
    • Experience in the development of new processes and applications of technology for automation
    • Ability to use online infrastructure knowledge and create innovative measurement solutions
    • Effectively defines scopes of work, manages vendors, project budgets and resource allocation
  • Participate in or lead new client acquisition and new business pitches (at times several initiatives simultaneously). Expand the business by identifying new opportunities for measurement, research and analytics within existing client accounts and establishing relationships with prospective clients.
    • Communicates and apply all online and offline capabilities as they relate to other agency disciplines
    • Proactively understands and anticipates client business owners' reporting and analysis needs - ability to expand measurement business by identifying new analytic and research opportunities
  • Create staff development plans for direct reports, provide feedback and performance evaluations
  • Create a team environment and participate in the hiring of new staff
  • Codify and publish formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching major strategic issues, both leveraging existing Digitas intellectual capital and developing innovative concepts
  • Provide methodological support, coaching, and training to department staff
  • Understands basic financial analysis; cost analysis, ROI, etc, LTV a plus
Qualifications:
  • Digitas places significant importance on qualities such as intellectual curiosity, responsibility, independence, determination, creativity, flexibility, drive, and self-confidence.
  • 8-10+ years of business experience in Management Consulting, Marketing, or Interactive Consulting
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing, communications, mathematics, or economics and MBA or advanced quantitative degree a plus
  • Thorough understanding of online (web) metrics and knowledge of various web measurement technologies such as:
    • Website traffic analytics software (tagging and log file based) such as WebTrends, WebSideStory (HitBox/HBX), CoreMetrics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Urchin, Visual Sciences, IBM SurfAid
    • Ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART, Poindexter, BlueStreak/Ion, Mediaplex/MOJO, Atlas
    • Paid search engine marketing data sources such as Google, Overture/Yahoo, Did-It and GoToast
  • In-depth experience in website analysis and knowledge of infrastructure requirements to deliver measurement solutions
  • Deep technical project management and infrastructure development experience for the provision analytical services
  • Strong understanding of blue chip internet business models and online processes, terminology, concepts and strategies
  • Knowledge of database design, applications, and data flows a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, online advertising, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills. Ability to present complex data reports, financial analyses, and statistics in a simple and clear way
  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to utilize and manage the use of Access, SAS or SPSS, SQL, Strata or other database packages a plus
