Subject: Chesapeake, VA: Manager of Marketing Analysis and Segmentation at Cox

The Manager of Marketing Analysis and Segmentation will lead Residential database marketing responsibilities in statistics, data mining, advanced analytics, and project management to identify targets, support direct marketing initiatives and drive marketing strategy. The Manager will also be required to design, conduct, and facilitate quantitative analyses to support strategic and promotional decisions. Position will partner with Traditional Marketing, New Product Development & Marketing Operations and the Sales Organization to support the optimal allocation of promotional resources across various distribution channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, build and maintain Residential relational databases that capture data to quantify and statistically analyze consumer response and purchasing patterns to marketing initiatives.

Manage rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses evaluating the effectiveness of multi-channel direct marketing programs, including direct mail, email, and other campaigns. Analysis will include, but is not limited to; tracking and reporting ROI and Breakeven analysis of campaigns, year over year changes and patterns of campaign response data, tracking and reporting unit sales and churn data and tacking campaign roll-off time tables.

Partner with IT to request and subsequently oversee all list requests and generation from internal databases.

Partner with Sr. Marketing Manager, Acquisition to identify target segments, sizes and priorities. Use statistical tracking and modeling to recommend offer and product bundling strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years of related experience within statistics, data mining, operations, research, or computer science; a quantitative MBA with strong business experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Strong direct marketing, database marketing, and CRM experience preferred.
  • Strong quantitative modeling and analytic skills in customer segmentation, lifetime value, customer contact strategies, campaign set-up, back-end analysis, predictive modeling, and other database marketing tasks.
  • Experience with data mining or statistical principles, methodologies and techniques (e.g., Classification, Variable Selection, Logistic Regression, Experimental Design, etc.)
  • Experience with list pulling and data retrieval from very large databases, automation/scripting of recurring campaigns, and database tools (e.g., SQL. Oracle, Discoverer, Crystal Reports, Chordiant, Access, etc. required)
