We have two positions available for Project Connection Machine, an R&D effort to apply techniques of AI and Knowledge Management to locate experts and expertise within a global, 120,000-employee company.

Knowledge Representation Specialist-Researcher

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document knowledge acquisition, utilization, maintenance and feedback workflows in selected application domain.
• Analyze vocabulary, select knowledge representation method in application domain and build maintainable representation scheme.
• Develop customized methodology for building and maintaining domain representations in a replicable manner.
• Assist in the development of user models and content based personalization algorithms for application area.
• Assist in the development of similarity metrics for application area.

Ph.D / MS in CS or related, experience in knowledge representation (ontologies, semantic nets, domain modeling etc.) and knowledge management, personalization, structural case-based reasoning and data mining in industrial environments. Hands-on experience with web application development in a J2EE environment required.
