IDSS, the business intelligence/data-warehousing team for MSN, is looking for an experienced database developer. Candidate should demonstrate expertise with transact-sql, stored procedures, triggers, replication, DTS, and other advanced SQL Server features to implement distributed and partitioned databases is required. Excellent performance analysis skills, including techniques for analyzing database applications, determining bottlenecks in database code, experience in understanding SQL Server query plans and estimates, optimizing queries by looking at their execution plans, understanding of SQL Server query hints, tuning indexes, tuning SP�s, leveraging horizontal and vertical partitioning is a must. Qualifications: In depth experience\understanding of database design especially with large scale OLTP DB�s is required. Must have experience in developing applications that can handle millions of transactions per day. Database development experience with large scale commercial applications is a huge plus and will be strongly preferred. At least 6 years of work related experience is required. Strong communication skills are preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required. Candidates with advanced degrees are preferred.
