Learn text mining online with Nitin Indurkhya (co-author of "Text Mining," Springer), June 18 - July 16 at statistics.com. Participants need not be online at set times. The course covers text preparation, predictive models for text, retrieval and clustering of documents, the maximum entropy method, and more. Dr. Indurkhya will answer your questions via a private discussion board throughout the 4-week course period.
"Text Mining" is followed by "Natural Language Processing", August 20 - Sept. 17, also taught by Dr. Indurkhya. This course covers word-level analysis, sentence-level processing, semantics, disambiguation, and information retrieval and extraction.
