Observation: Increased analytics integration does not lead to reduced staff

We note that while integration of analytics/data mining with business processes increased in the past year, this did not lead to the reduction in staffing.

Internal analytics staff increased, while usage of external analytics consultants remained about the same.

Among respondents who indicated greater integration, 68% also said that internal analytics staff increased, while only 3% said that internal analytics staff decreased. With regards to external analytics staff, the effect was not significant - about 35% reported more use, while 30% reported less use.
