Informative Comments
- Other = DDSeries from Data Distilleries
- Clementine is a "maza" (Scottish term for "amazing" Ed.)
- GainSmarts has a extremely useful feature selection module to
sift through large quantaties of
data. The system is ideal for large number of
variables
- SGI MineSet has the best interface.
- You should add S-Plus to your
list. It does most of what you expect a dataminining tool to do
(CART, clustering, very good graphics) ,and a library (not supported
by the vendors) does neural network analysis.
- Other: Delta Miner by
Bissantz
- SAS - user friendly, that's
what it's all about.
- We have SAS EM , but we have
evaluating other tools. Because SAS EM is very expensive and we have
some troubles of this soft.
- We evaluated a small number of
the better data mining products in 1998 and found GainSmarts
produced better models. I have reviewed GainSmarts subsequently in
"DM Review" magazine. See www.urbanscience.com to read the review -
Cheers, Adam
- PlainSpeak, a natural language
interface
