Bull Services Seeks Experienced and Creative Data Analysis Professionals
Bull Services, the leading business intelligence solutions vendor in the health and human services marketplace, is seeking experienced data mining and statistical analysis professionals who want to use their advanced skills and intellectual curiosity to detect and prevent healthcare and social services fraud.
These results-oriented professionals will work as part of a highly talented, interdisciplinary team that will use will use federal, state, and commercial data sources organized into a world class, powerful data warehouse to:
- Detect healthcare fraud, abuse, and overpayments
- Identify payment vulnerabilities and policy changes
- Develop world class models and systems to make these findings actionable
The data analysis professionals will:
- Work with other professionals to identify fraud and overpayment analysis opportunities
- Use Oracle Data Miner in conjunction with Oracle 11G to develop highly scalable fraud detection routines and data analyses
- Critically examine the results of the analysis to identify opportunities to improve their accuracy and relevance
- Present the work to other technical and non-technical professionals
- Be part of team of talented that designs innovative reviews to identify fraud, abuse, and billing errors
- Collaborates with IT professionals to develop world class systems based on the analyses
We will consider candidates at a variety of levels, with compensation commensurate with experience, but at a minimum seek candidates who possess:
- Several years of data analysis experience
- Advanced Oracle Data Miner programming skills
- Intermediate to advanced SQL programming skills, Oracle 11g preferred
- A strong work ethic
- Strong attention to detail
- A bachelor's degree with substantial coursework in statistics or a related discipline
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
In addition, candidates who possess one or more of the following are especially desirable:
- Experience using healthcare claims data for research, fraud detection, or policy analysis
- Significant data mining or advanced data analysis experience, including but not limited to experience developing and deploying predictive models and unsupervised learning models
- SAS programming experience
- Medicaid program knowledge
- CPT and ICD9 coding knowledge
- An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
- Strong statistical sampling and research design knowledge
- Healthcare fraud detection experience
- A sense of humor
Relocation may not be required for senior candidates who are willing to
travel an average of 30%-50% of the time. Bull Services offers competitive
