A Comparative Analysis of Claim-Based Tools for Health Risk Assessment

The research analyst position requires someone with comprehensive knowledge in the field of predictive modeling, data analysis and data mining methodologies. The ideal candidate should be a team player and will work in our R&D team.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyses and modeling of large medical claims databases;
  • Enhancement of currently defined models and heuristic applications;
  • Development of customized models;
  • Programming predictive modeling algorithms;
Requirements:
  • Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in quantitative discipline: statistics, applied math, data mining, machine learning, operations research, computer science, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of some of the following quantitative methods: regression, classification, cluster analysis, decision trees, hypothesis testing, neural nets, SVM, time series, outlier identification, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, etc.;
  • Extreme attention to details;
  • Strong proficiency in SAS, C++ and SQL;
  • Experience with large data sets, experience in the field of health care, good publications, all are a plus;
  • Team player.
