Security is currently a central issue for the world and especially for European Union. In 2005, to enhance citizen security, EC-European Commission appointed ESRAB-European Security Research Advisory Board charged of advising EC in security matters and in launching the next year ESRP funding program. One of the results of ESRAB work has been the evidence that data and text mining are central technologies to enhance citizen security.

Following this effort, EC is organizing a survey on Detection Technologies (whose data and text mining are examples). You are invited to answer this survey (PDF) completely or only for the questions you are more interested, sending it directly to EC or through me (a_zanasi@yahoo.it) .
