ID Analytics is hiring full-time positions in data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling at senior scientist, scientist, and intern scientist levels.

Scientist / Senior Scientist Responsibilities

Responsibilities include designing and building predictive models based on the latest technologies in pattern recognition and statistical modeling for various applications in the credit industry. Specific responsibilities may vary by projects but will include analyzing data to determine suitability for modeling, pattern identifications and feature (variable) construction and selection from large amounts of data, experimenting with different types of models, analyzing performance, and reporting results to customers.

Provide technical direction to the development team and analytical modeling development. Develop solutions to complex analysis problems. Analysis, design, development, test, troubleshooting and documentation of complex data systems that may involve one or more of the following: predictive score models, feature extraction, data-driven analysis, machine learning, decision making and related utilities. Collaborate with developers to identify and implement internal process improvements.

Required Qualifications (Experience/Skills)

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Statistics/Math, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pattern recognition, mathematical modeling, or data analysis on real world problems.
  • Familiarity with the latest modeling techniques and tools.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, both in terms of interacting with customers and co-workers.
  • Very comfortable with UNIX and C. Familiar with SAS, or other analysis tools.
Intern Responsibilities

The Intern will be part of a team responsible for the development of the company's advanced technologies particularly to do with statistical score model development, score model deployment, large scale database analysis and statistical algorithms. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist scientists and statisticians with the analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of predictive score models, decision making systems and results reporting.
  • Completing written documentation and reports of results. This will take the form of business reports, internal technology summaries and statistical analysis.
Desired Intern Qualifications:

  • Student in the last year of degree program (BS/MS/PhD).
  • Experience with statistics and business analysis.
  • Familiar with Unix/Linux environment
  • Familiarity with Java or C++.
  • Working knowledge of statistical packages such as SAS.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
