SPSS Introduces Clementine 9.0 at Directions User Conference

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2004--

Clementine(R) 9.0, the latest version of the award-winning data mining workbench from SPSS Inc. (NASDAQ:SPSS), is among the new SPSS technologies being showcased at the SPSS Directions User Conference being held this week in Las Vegas. This latest version leverages Clementine's open, standards-based architecture to offer easy integration with IBM(R) DB2(R) Data Warehouse Enterprise Edition and supports modeling with IBM DB2(R) Intelligent Miner, enabling the building and scoring of models directly in the DB2 Data Warehouse.

Clementine 9.0 will enable analysts using IBM DB2 Data Warehouse Enterprise Edition to view Clementine models with DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization, and automatically deploy models built in Clementine into DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring.

"Our aim is to make the analyst's job easier by enabling them to work more quickly, efficiently and effectively," says Peter Caron, SPSS senior product manager. "Being able to access and build models provided by IBM DB2 through the intuitive visual workflow of Clementine, as well as deploy models developed in Clementine directly to IBM DB2, will enable analysts to quickly and successfully reach their business goals."
