This position will provide high level and in-depth marketing analytics that leverages the information warehouse, other third party data sources, primary and secondary research and general financial services information. Provide Business Intelligence services to internal clients, liaise between Marketing Information Decision Support and client areas to support all marketing related client data analysis and reporting needs. Provide written reports and presentations that package the analysis into documents that can be used to create marketing strategies for the bank's lines of business and segments. Deliver these reports and findings to executives and other areas of the bank. Develop models (propensity, response, decision tree) to determine the likelihood of a customer or household to exhibit a specific behavior.

Organizational Reporting Structure

Individual will report to the Vice President of the Customer Marketing Initiatives Team which is part of the Marketing Information Decision Support group. Individual will not have direct reports, but may lead interim project teams of 1-3 people.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develops client deliverables including in-depth analysis documents, campaign effectiveness reports, program overview and assessments, reports, spreadsheets, and/or databases, using various desktop software tools. Most commonly used tools are SAS, SQL Plus, MS Access, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint.
  • Develops models using various data modeling techniques, to determine the likelihood of a customer to exhibit a specific behavior. Models include likelihood to respond to a marketing campaign, likelihood to purchase a product, etc.
  • Proficient in use of base SAS and SAS Enterprise Miner.
  • Provides business intelligence insights to the client.
  • Manages and develops business intelligence from conception to implementation. Includes managing project dates, issues, resources and status reporting to clients and senior management.
  • Works with business clients, ranging from line staff to Executive Vice Presidents, to understand their business need and to define the project to meet the need.
  • Completes the analysis of the business and data requirements and defines project development approach. Works closely with business intelligence professionals and clients to resolve requirements and specification issues.
  • Identifies limitations of current environment to meet the clients' business requirements.
  • Escalates these issues, along with recommendations for alternatives and corrections to management.
  • Trained in the application of basic statistics.
  • Performs testing of client deliverables prior to release.
  • Delivers presentations of project deliverables and results to client and senior management.
  • May lead a team of 1-3 people (based on size of project) in the implementation of client projects.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of large relationship databases, SAS, PL/SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access required.
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and usage, including householding.
  • Understanding of basic banking functions.
  • Advanced understanding a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform all stages of a project life cycle including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation.
  • Ability to discuss projects from both a business and technical perspective.
  • Ability to make presentations on project results to Senior Management.
  • Ability to provide direction on project approach.
