The previous KDnuggets Poll asked: what types of data you analyzed/mined in last 12 months?

Based on 479 choices from 188 respondents, the most popular types of data are

• flat, single-table
• multi-table, relational
• time series

Comparing with a similar (but not identical) 2002 Poll on complex data types analyzed, we note a significant decline in popularity of web click-stream and web content analysis (we are no longer in the dot-com bubble). Data types that gained in popularity include time-series, networks and graphs (not in 2002 poll), and images and multimedia data.
