The previous KDnuggets Poll asked US/Canada data miners: what is your current annual income or status?

Compared to a similar poll in 2003, we see that the overall number of respondents declined somewhat. Among the respondents, students make a greater percentage.

The percentage of self-reported unemployed also declined.

Also declined the number of people reporting income of over 120K, and incomes in 61K to 100K range. Surprisingly, the number of people in 101 to 120K range has slightly increased.

The median income in 2004 can be estimated to be in $85-91,000 range, about what it was in 2003.
