Pacific Asia Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD) School 2004
Will be held on 24-25 May 2004 at
University of Technology, Sydney
In conjunction with PAKDD 2004 conference

The objective of the school is to educate the next generation of the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining researchers. The target audiences are research students from Pacific-Asia areas. Other people are also welcome.

The guest lecturers for this school are world-wide renowned researchers and educators. They are

  • Phillip Yu (IBM Research, USA)
  • Jiawei Han (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA)
  • Geoff Webb (Monash University, Australia)
  • Tharam Dillion (University of Technology, Sydney, Australia)
  • Sabrina Sestito (Forensic and Special Investigations Group, Telstra, Australia)

The Faculty of Information Technology at University of Technology, Sydney will host and sponsor this school. The registration fee for students will be discounted heavily.
