Unica and PeopleSoft

Unica Corporation today announced its support for PeopleSoft
Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) 8.3
release.  Leveraging PeopleSoft 8 CRM applications and Affinium(TM)
Suite's open architectures, enterprises will benefit from a complete
CRM platform in which Unica's unique, predictive customer analytics
are integrated with PeopleSoft's recently announced Customer Behavior
Modeling (CBM) analytical application. The combination of products
will enable enterprises to take their marketing and CRM initiatives to
the next level by developing more targeted campaigns while lowering
costs, increasing productivity and realizing rapid return on
investment (ROI).

Currently planned for availability in Q4 2001 as part of PeopleSoft
EPM 8.3, PeopleSoft CBM uses enterprise-wide customer data combined
with behavioral metrics and demographic information from third-party
providers to provide a true "360-degree" profile of customers. Users
will be able to define and select populations of customers, build
predictive models and "score" customers based on relevant
criteria. Integrated with Customer Behavior Modeling, Unica's Affinium
will deliver deep functionality for data mining used to develop the
predictive customer models. With the integrated solution, businesses
can conduct more effective customer interactions within their
marketing, sales and support organizations.

PeopleSoft will support real-time scoring at all customer touchpoints
with a dynamic link to Unica's model scoring engine. PeopleSoft's
customers will be able to re-score models on demand using the most
up-to-date information available on the PeopleSoft platform. This will
provide an enhanced integration option to joint customers of
PeopleSoft and Unica that will help them increase use of their
predictive models in production.
