Miner3D.com announces version 2.0 of its Miner3D SITE software for building
Internet navigational systems, hierarchical sitemaps, corporate portals and
web-based information retrieval systems. The new software brings significant
enhancements to the web browser's set of features and makes its user
interface more rich and suitable for handling complex information.

More and more technology analysts and prime research companies accent the
undiscovered potential of the Web and foresee a new, extended Internet,
really interactive and executable Net, the X Internet. Over the last few
years the web browser has become standard part of the operating system and
today is widely used in many different applications. Unfortunately, the
browser was originally designed for displaying formatted texts and pictures
and that carries its limitations, especially if used in data-intensive
solutions as the application framework. The flat HTML pages can hardly meet
today's user's expectations. Almost every web surfer daily feels the user
interface problems while trying to browse amounts of returned web search

Miner3D SITE displays the information as sets of graphic objects spread over
a space. It concentrates data from series of common HTML pages into single,
flexible and fully interactive 3D visualization and provides user an easy,
fast and intuitive mouse and keyboard navigation over the information space.
Hyperlinked Miner3D spaces enable creation of hierarchical structures and
improve the navigation through complex information systems, large Web sites
or Intranets.

Since the information space is not static and dead, as it is on classic 2D
HTML pages, Miner3D gives users also couple of extras:
 - real-time information delivery, scenes may change continually
 - ability to delete useless hits
 - select information objects
 - copy to System Clipboard
 - paste to other applications (Word, Excel, Email software...)

Built on standard Internet and graphics technologies makes the integration
and deployment in current environments easy and fast. Miner3D communicates
with Web servers using XML language, while there is also an option to
extract information directly from pure HTML Web pages. Well-designed XML
syntax allows description of complex information structures on small pages
of 25KB or even less. It saves the network bandwidth and enables very fast
downloads when even the footprint of Miner3D Viewer is excellent too - only
85KB!

The software is completely server platform independent and capable to
communicate with any XML-aware web server, Miner3D Viewer, the client, is
currently available only for Internet Explorer 4.0 and above. The Netscape
version will be released in November 2001, the version for Apple Mac
computers will follow early next year. The design of the Viewer makes ports
to new platforms easy and soon it will be released also to game consoles,
selected mobile or online devices, handhelds, web pad devices and set top
boxes.
