The Robert H. Smith School of Business (http://www.rhsmith.umd.edu) has nationally ranked MBA and undergraduate programs, as well as a strong doctoral program. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to carry out high-quality research in data analysis and should be able to teach a variety of courses in this field to all levels of business students, including MBA students. Of particular interest are individuals with a background in data mining (broadly defined), computational statistics, or data visualization whose research interests can contribute to departmental initiatives. Candidates should send a resume, complete with their accomplishments in research, teaching, and service together with a brief cover letter highlighting their specific strengths relative to this position. They should also arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be sent. Nominations of qualified candidates will also be appreciated.
