Advanced degree in one or more of the following: Biological/Chemical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science.

Location: NC or PA.

• In-depth expertise in decision support technologies such as: machine learning methods, natural language processing, exploratory statistical techniques, OLAP, data warehousing, multi-dimensional visualization, computationally intensive analytical techniques
• 2-5 years of pharmaceutical experience helpful
• Proven experience in the application of decision support technologies in the pharmaceutical industry
• Supervisory and budget experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills

• Test and evaluate knowledge discovery technologies
• Collaborate in the identification of new opportunities
• Develop unique applications for problem solving throughout GSK Assist in data warehousing and mining efforts across BDS and GSK
• Work closely with DES project leaders, Epidemiology, BDS Therapeutic Area Directors, IT, and other GSK technology groups
• Manage a portfolio of projects where unique technologies are applied to solve problems throughout GSK
• Present and publish relevant materials effectively
• Consult with both internal and external groups on the application of new technologies
