The company will obtain, preserve, and provide continuous streams of biological materials and associated data, to be used for pharmaceutical research. The data will be enhanced with state-of-the-art bioinformatic mining tools and supply-chain logistics to ensure maximum utility, integrity and next day delivery. The emerging market potential for these products exceeds billions of dollars in fields like many bio-tech fields. Key elements required for company growth are the development and deployment of software systems that integrate highly structured clinical information abstracted from computer-based patient record systems at the donor medical institutions together with molecular bioinformatic data (e.g. gene expression profiles) that will derive from both external and internal sources. These systems will store and organize the data in a manner that allows quantitative analysis, and, furthermore, provides an interface intuitive to laboratory scientists engaged in biomedical research.
