and support vector machines!  These two-day courses give a detailed
overview of statistical models for regression and
classification. Known as machine-learning in computer science and
artificial intelligence, and pattern recognition in engineering, this
is a hot field with powerful applications in science, industry and
finance.  This is a very popular course, normally offered only twice a
year in the U.S.
