Question: What is the market size for data mining in dollars (billions
of) this year.

In an article in Wall Street Journal, June 21 1999, somebody estimated
sales of software to accommodate data mining at $1.56 billion last year
(1998).  According to that article the market for that software will
more than double to $3.56 Billion in 2001

Are there any newer similar estimates?

What is the total market on Web mining per year?
